BYD Sime Motors, the official distributor of BYD Cars in Malaysia, hosted a thrilling two-day media convoy, an adrenaline-pumping event before everyone headed off for the CNY break. The convoy welcomed different batches of media and KOLs over two days. And today, let me take you on a ride through this exhilarating journey.
We started the morning with breakfast, followed by a comprehensive briefing on the itinerary and introduction to star of the day - the BYD SEAL Performance, crowned the 2024 Sedan of the Year in the Malaysia Car of the Year (MCOTY) award.
The participants then convoyed to the Sepang International Circuit while personally experiencing the features of this EV. Riding alongside the media and KOLs, we, the PR team also had the privilege of soaking in the journey. With the SEAL’s sleek-design and panoramic sunroof, the drive felt almost cinematic, immersing us in the scenic city views along the way.
To truly experience the capabilities of the vehicle, media and KOLs got to push the limits of the EV, experiencing first-hand what it feels like to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds! As I stood on the sidelines, watching the car slice through the air in a split second, I was in awe of its stability and effortless control, even at high speeds.
Beyond speed, the SEAL’s handling capabilities were put to the test, proving that it’s not just about acceleration. It’s about precision, safety and an unparalleled driving experience.
Seeing the sheer excitement on the faces of media and KOLs was a proof that the event was quite an experience to them. Their videos and social media posts clearly captured how thrilling yet secure the experience was.
As I sat in the back seat, I couldn’t help but get swept up in the moment. The smooth glide of the car and the expansive sunroof making the journey more enticing.
